Criminal Law Advocate- CM Advocates

We seek a highly motivated and experienced Criminal Law Advocate to join our team in Nairobi. The successful candidate will be responsible for representing clients in the Police stations and in court, ensuring they receive the best possible representations, are updated in real-time and obtain desirable outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a current practising certificate
• Minimum 3 years of experience practicing criminal law in Kenya [Specialisation is an added advantage]
• Proven success representing clients in both Magistrates’ Court and High Court
• In-depth knowledge of the Kenyan Criminal Procedure Code, Penal Code, Witness Protection Act, and Victim Protection Act
• Excellent legal research and writing skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Clear and persuasive oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases effectively and meet deadlines
• Strong work ethic and commitment to client service

Experience:

• Experience in a variety of criminal matters is preferred
• Previous interaction with various criminal law players, the police, DPP etc,
• Demonstrated ability to build strong client relationships
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
