Our client, Barizi Communications and its Affiliates (www.barizicommunications.com) provides bespoke IT services to businesses in Kenya which include software development, UI-UX design services, Cloud and Connectivity solutions, Cybersecurity, IT consultancy, IT project management, infrastructure management and IT maintenance & support services. They are seeking to fill the following position:
FULL STACK DEVELOPER
In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining robust web applications. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into user-friendly and scalable solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement backend services using Spring Boot.
- Develop and maintain frontend user interfaces using either React or Vue.js.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to best practices.
- Develop and implement unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to colleagues.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of proven experience developing web applications with a full-stack approach (backend and frontend).
- Proficiency in either React or Vue.js for front-end development.
- Solid understanding of Spring Boot and Java for backend development.
- Experience with Git for version control is mandatory.
- Experience with API development and design (e.g., RESTful APIs) is mandatory
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Experience with other backend frameworks like PHP(Laravel), Node.js or Python (a plus).
